Who We Are
We are a second-generation Canadian family farm specializing in growing high quality, ethically raised chicken in the heart of the Alberta prairies.
We Love Local!
We are passionate about farming and about providing families with sustainably grown local food. We believe that farmers supporting each other helps us all to provide the best for our communities. We source as much of our feed locally as possible, buying wheat directly from our grain growing neighbors. Locally procured straw goes into the barns as bedding for the birds and at the end of the cycle, the straw and manure are returned to the fields to nourish and improve the soil for the next season’s crop.
Our Practices
As Canadian producers, we are proud to grow our birds to the highest standards for the humane and ethical treatment of animals as set out by the National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC) and enforced by Chicken Farmers of Canada (CFC). That means no hormones or steroids, no unnecessary medications, no cages. Our state-of-the-art barns are meticulously monitored to ensure that the birds have perfect temperatures, humidity levels light and dark cycles air quality, and personal space for optimal comfort and growth.
